Daycare
Daycare is similar to sending your child to school and has many benefits for you and your poochie! Here we provide safe socialization; exercise, education and most importantly have fun! We know that your dog is a member of the family and they deserve the very best in care. At Poochies the dogs have over 2 acres of large runs outside equipped with playground equipment and agility items. We also have 2 large heated buildings to play in if the weather isn’t great and covered outdoor sections. Daycare will provide your pooch with socializing safely!
Our pooch loving, educated staff will help them learn how to continue to behave in social situations and be comfortable with new dogs and people. Recurring dogs love getting to see their best friends when they arrive. The dogs are always supervised and engaged with games and manners with up to 10 hours of play. Staff is educated on managing dogs in an open environment and body language and create different play groups based on your poochie’s energy level, personality, play style and sometimes size to get the attention and exercise they need. As caring pet parents we will also make sure you are up to date with how your poochie is doing each visit. Every day our facility is thoroughly cleaned daily. All water, food dishes, toys are cleaned several times a day and poop is constantly picked up. Both buildings have walls and floors scrubbed and disinfected daily.
Daycare will enhance your pooch’s health and leave your fur child happy and relaxed. This can help keep your property safe from destructive, boredom chewing and help with separation anxiety! Also, a nice perk for owners to have a calm dog when they return home from work! This will ensure all can have a good night’s sleep!
Our goal is to make sure your poochie has the time of his life when they come here. They can expect to run, play and rest, learn and make tons of new friends! Every day we take photos so you can see what your poochie has been up to. We love having birthday and holiday parties since every pooch is special!
All dogs are screened and evaluated before they are allowed to enrol by scheduling a meet and greet. This way we can assess if they are a good fit for this kind of environment. These usually take around 20 – 30 minutes. All dogs must be up to date on all vaccinations including Bordatella (kennel cough) and bring proof. They must also be spayed or neutered at the appropriate age, usually 6 – 7 months unless your veterinarian has stated otherwise. We can accept them over 6 months but it is up to us if they can come since hormones on both males and females can change our group dynamic! We will not accept dogs that will be left intact.
Grooming services including nail trims, baths and brushes available upon request. This ensures you pick up a fresh smelling, clean and tired dog after their daycare visit!
